Greeters
The Greeters Are:
First to Welcome - Our greeters are the first people to welcome a new person or family to The Rock Church of Temecula Valley. A new place is unfamiliar and can be intimidating to many who come for the first time. Our friendliness accompanied by a firm handshake and warm smile can be the difference in their decision to return.
First to Guide - Our greeters provide the introduction for new people to the physical layout and services offered at The Rock Church. We help them feel comfortable and at home here at The Rock Church.
First to Assist - Our greeters provide the first assistance to those with small children, those who are infirm and those who are loaded down with packages.
First to be Friendly - The Rock is a very friendly place but to new people it is a place full of strangers. Our greeters make the difference by introducing them to a few friends and pastors to make them feel immediately at home.
Host Ministry
Working at the information center by welcoming those coming tho the church, showing visitors around, as well as sharing information, details about The Rock Church, and upcoming special events. We leave our station to show new people where to take their children and where to find more information about a subject.
Parking Lot Ministry
The purpose of the parking lot ministry is to give glory to God, as we serve The Rock Church, by making entering, parking, and exiting the parking lot as easy and safe as possible. The parking lot makes an important first impression on people as they arrive. So we work to make everyone feel welcome as they enter the church property and find their way into the facility.
Ushers
The Ushers are:
First to Serve - An usher is a servant to the pastors, church staff and the congregation. He meets their needs so the service can be a wonderful worship filled experience. Ushers must be spiritually sensitive when called on to serve communion.
First to Observe - An usher observes what is heppening in the service in order to anticipate needs and to prevent distractions. The Rock Church services can be spiritual life and death situations for some people who attend. Distractions could prevent them from being able to receive what God has for them.
First to Provide Security - While creating a climate of hospitality is important, security is equally important. Ushers are responsible for the safe keeping of the offerings and other property as well as for the safety of the people.
